Maintenance Mechanic – Production
Reports To: Maintenance Manager
Pay rate: Based on Experience
Experience: 1–3 years of related experience
Available Positions & Shifts
  • Maintenance Technician – 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
  • Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
Job Summary
The Maintenance Mechanic – Production is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting plant machinery and equipment to maximize production output, efficiency, quality, and safety. This position works closely with production employees, Quality Assurance, and other maintenance technicians to identify and resolve equipment issues and support continuous process improvement.
Responsibilities
  • Interact with production employees, Quality Assurance, and other maintenance technicians to improve and maximize plant output, efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Utilize process improvement techniques, tools, and procedures.
  • Maximize machinery performance by troubleshooting equipment problems, making necessary changes, and maintaining all plant equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals.
  • Assist with efficient equipment changes and mold changes to accommodate production needs.
  • Utilize the preventative maintenance program to maintain equipment and prevent equipment failures.
  • Produce quality products through close monitoring of processes, raw materials, and finished products.
  • Preserve plant equipment through proper cleaning, maintenance, and care.
  • Record, document, and report various maintenance and production data.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing requirements.
Physical Requirements
  • Good manual dexterity and concentration.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to reach within hands and arm's length, bend, stoop, walk, and stand consistently for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in manufacturing conditions.
  • Ability to work in small or confined spaces.
Education & Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and comprehend procedures written in English.
  • Basic PLC knowledge is a plus, but not required.
  • Basic ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
  • Sound problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
