Job Summary: The Escrow Officer manages and oversees real estate closing transactions from start to finish. This role ensures that all funds, documents, and legal requirements are handled accurately and comply with Florida state regulations. The Escrow Officer acts as a neutral third party, coordinating between buyers, sellers, lenders, and real estate professionals to facilitate smooth and timely closings.

Responsibilities
The officer plays a critical role in the real estate transaction process by ensuring title settlement activities are completed accurately and on time
This position is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the closing process, including document preparation, review, and execution, to facilitate the smooth transfer of property ownership
The officer works closely with buyers, sellers, real estate agents, lenders, and attorneys to resolve any issues that may arise and to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements across multiple state regulatory frameworks
Prepare and review closing documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Coordinate with lenders, real estate agents, and attorneys to schedule and facilitate closing appointments
Verify that all conditions of the sale and/or refinance have been met prior to closing, including the resolution of any title issues or liens
Disburse funds according to settlement statements and maintain detailed records of all transactions
Communicate effectively with all parties involved to address questions, resolve discrepancies, and provide updates throughout the closing process
Requirements
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential to manage multiple transactions simultaneously and to maintain accurate records
Ultimately, the officer ensures that all parties involved have a seamless and positive closing experience, contributing to the overall success of the real estate transaction
Demonstrated experience in title settlement or real estate closing processes
Strong knowledge of real estate contracts, title documents, and settlement procedures
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Proficiency with relevant software tools used in title and settlement operations
Certification as a Settlement Agent or Notary Public
Experience working with escrow accounts and fund disbursement
Prior experience in a real estate law firm or title company
Advanced proficiency in document management and ResWare
The officer's daily responsibilities centrally involve title settlement, which requires preparing and reviewing complex legal documents
