Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Scan Technologist for a Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center, requiring 2+ years of recent CT experience and Epic EMR proficiency.
Details
- Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center radiology department
- Performs CT exams on trauma, ER, outpatient, inpatient (stable and ICU), research, and CT-guided procedure patients
- Three 12-hour shifts, Friday-Sunday, 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM
- No on-call responsibilities
- Rotating holiday coverage required
- Every weekend required
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved two-year AMA Radiologic Technology School and high school graduate
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in CT required
- NYS Registration in Diagnostic Radiography or limited permit to practice in NYS required (license required if applicable)
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Current BLS certification from AHA or RQI required
- Epic EMR experience required
- No employment gaps of 90+ days or more in the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Performs technical procedures and assists in clinical evaluation and care of patients under direction of Medical Director, Section Head, Clinical Specialist, Manager, and Radiologist
- Utilizes CT modality to create diagnostic images and provide safe, positive patient experiences
- Supports teaching and continues learning as technology evolves
- Practices and enforces radiation safety measures per NYS DOH code part 16
- Facility only accepts medical exemptions for flu vaccine, signed by a licensed professional; personal or religious declinations not accepted
- Local candidates residing within 50 miles or in Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties are not eligible
- No blocked scheduling permitted
- More than 3 call-outs within the 13-week assignment may result in contract termination, with make-up shifts required within 6 weeks of the last call-out
