Job Summary
Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist position available at a healthcare organization in the area. This role involves providing advanced care in a cardiac catheterization laboratory environment, assisting physicians with interventional and diagnostic procedures, and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout interventions. The technologist will perform a variety of cardiovascular procedures, maintain equipment, and support a safe, efficient clinical setting.
Job Details
- Schedule: Rotating shift hours; 8 hours per shift; minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Ability to read, write, and communicate in English; associate's degree or higher in Cardiovascular Technology or a minimum of 3 years recent experience as a Cardiovascular Tech in a Cardiac Cath Lab; current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification; current certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS); successful completion of intra-aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) course is preferred
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with interventional procedures such as endovascular, diagnostic peripheral, and vascular procedures; proficiency in electrophysiology (EP) procedures is advantageous
- Additional Information: Responsible for assisting physicians in all invasive procedures, including scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring hemodynamic parameters. Performs routine safety checks on interventional equipment and maintains inventory. Assists with administration of contrast media and participates in professional development activities. Ensures compliance with radiation safety standards and maintains equipment in good working order.
