Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Scan Technologist with 2+ years of recent CT experience for a Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center setting.
Details
- Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center radiology department
- Performs CT exams on outpatients, inpatients (stable and ICU-level), research patients, and trauma/emergency room patients
- Includes specialized CT scan-guided procedures
- Uses Epic EMR
- Three 12-hour shifts per week, Friday-Sunday from 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM
- Works every weekend
- Rotating holiday coverage
- No on-call responsibilities
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in CT
- Graduate of an approved two-year AMA Radiologic Technology School and high school graduate
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- New York State Registration in Diagnostic Radiography or limited permit to practice in NYS (license required if applicable)
- Current BLS certification from AHA or RQI
- Epic EMR experience required
- No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more in the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Perform technical CT procedures and assist in clinical evaluation and care of patients under the direction of the Medical Director, Section Head, Clinical Specialist, Manager, and Radiologist
- Support teaching and continued learning as CT technology evolves
- Practice and enforce radiation safety measures per New York State Department of Health Code Part 16
- Facility only accepts medical exemptions for flu vaccination, signed by a licensed professional; personal or religious declinations are not accepted
- Candidates residing within a 50-mile radius in Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties are not eligible
- More than 3 call-outs within the 13-week assignment may result in contract termination, with make-up shifts required within 6 weeks of the last call-out
- No blocked scheduling permitted
- RTO must be requested at time of submission
