Manager of Surgical Services

A 267-bed hospital in Fort Walton Beach, FL — offering an Advanced Primary Stroke Center, a Cancer Care Center, open-heart surgery services, and a Level II Trauma Center — is seeking a Manager of Surgical Services.

The role. Reporting to the Director of Surgical Services, this manager holds 24-hour accountability for a surgical unit comprising 10 main OR suites and 2 CVOR suites, overseeing approximately 62 FTEs and an average daily volume of 25 cases. The manager ensures nursing practice standards, policies, and procedures meet legal and all accrediting and regulatory agency requirements while driving ongoing quality improvement programs tied to core measures and patient safety goals. This role leads an interdisciplinary approach to patient care, collaborating with physicians and the broader care team to ensure continuity and coordination across services and departments. The manager also maintains appropriate equipment and supplies, conducts proactive rounding, and cultivates a patient-centered, healing environment across the unit.

What we're looking for.

• 3+ years of Recent (within the last year) Acute Care OR (Operating room) Leadership experience required
• Registered Nurse
• Associate Degree
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
