Job Description
Purpose and Description
Support the new Work Center 202 (WC202) by verifying components returned from FANUC's existing work centers. The Technician physically inspects each returned component to confirm it is complete, intact, and in like-new condition, then prepares it for Logistics to return to the warehouse as a sellable component or assembly.
This is an entry-level position. It does not require robotics experience, and the Technician will not perform work on robots. It is a strong opportunity to get a foot in the door at a world-class automation company.
Essential Functions
- Physically inspect return-to-stock components to confirm each is complete and like-new before it is returned to stock.
- Perform basic repair, assembly, and disassembly of small assemblies using basic hand tools.
- Process ERP transactions against dedicated work orders assigned to WC202 (transact components and log all work performed).
- Use a computer to transact components and record work completed.
- Locate manuals and drawings on the company server for reference.
- Follow defined process steps and take personal responsibility for the quality of all work performed.
- Work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
Minimum Requirements
Skills and Knowledge
- Detail oriented, with a strong quality mindset.
- Good with their hands (repair, assembly, and disassembly of small assemblies).
- Comfortable using a computer to process ERP transactions and log work.
- Able to locate reference manuals and drawings on a server.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and accountable for the quality of their own work.
- Aligns with FANUC's PRIDE values.
- Works well in a team environment and individually.
Experience and Education
- Entry level. No prior robotics experience required.
- Mechanical aptitude and a quality-focused mindset valued over formal experience.
Tools
- Basic hand tools.
