Overview
Interventional Radiology Technologist – Travel assignment in Carbondale, IL. This is a hospital-based radiology role focused on interventional radiology procedures, with on-call responsibilities. Start date: 08/31/2026 for 13 weeks. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Weekly pay: $2,463–$2,571. Shifts are variable, with start times typically between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. and options for 8- or 10-hour shifts. On-call duties are required: initially about 2 days per week, with potential up to 10 days per month when fully staffed.

Responsibilities
- Support interventional radiology procedures as part of the IR team, assisting physicians during catheter-based and angiographic interventions
- Operate interventional imaging equipment (C-arm/fluoroscopy), manage image quality, and ensure proper documentation of procedures
- Prepare patients, administer or assist with contrast management, monitor patient status, and uphold sterile technique and radiation safety
- Document procedures in the electronic medical record (EPIC) and participate in charting with accurate procedure notes
- Collaborate with nurses, technologists, and physicians; respond to procedure-related changes and emergencies as part of a coordinated IR team
- When no IR procedures are scheduled, provide general X-ray coverage as needed and maintain readiness for duties in a fast-paced hospital setting

Requirements
- Active Illinois license from IEMA
- ARRT-board certified Radiologic Technologist (X-ray)
- Interventional Radiology or Cath Lab experience required; candidates with cath lab experience may be trained for IR duties
- Current CPR/BLS certification and ACLS certification
- On-call availability: initially 2 days per week, with potential up to 10 days per month when fully staffed
- Ability to work in a hospital setting and adapt to variable shift schedules; EPIC documentation experience preferred
