Job Summary:
Radiologic Technology Specialist in CT (Computed Tomography) with a focus on diagnostic imaging procedures. This role involves preparing and performing CT scans, ensuring patient safety and optimal imaging quality. The position requires a comprehensive understanding of human anatomy, imaging protocols, and patient interaction.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Evening shifts, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited program in Radiological Science; registration as CT technologist from American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-CT); good understanding of human anatomy, experience reading and interpreting complex radiology orders; certification in Radiologic Technology
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience using point-of-care-testing platforms such as Abbott i-Stat; certification and experience working with Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS)
  • Additional Information: Conducts computerized tomography (CT) screening, ensuring both the safe function of equipment and high-quality imaging. Reads and comprehends imaging orders, engaging with radiologists when necessary. Gathers consent for contrast injection, establishes intravenous access, and applies contrast. Interviews patients to assess risk factors and prior medical history. Selects appropriate scanning protocols based on extensive knowledge of anatomy, pathology, and hardware capabilities. Guides and explains procedures to patients, providing effective communication and cultural sensitivity.
