Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years of healthcare experience and required certification in RCIS, ARRT(VI), or RTRCI.
Details
- Cath Lab department in a hospital setting
- 13-week assignment
- Rotating schedule: Week 1 Mon-Fri day shift 0700-1530; Week 2 Mon-Fri call coverage 1530-0700 and Sat/Sun 0700-0700
- 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week
- Call coverage required during Week 2 rotation with no on-call or call-in pay
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a healthcare setting
- Current BLS certification required
- One of the following required: RCIS, ARRT(VI), or RTRCI (license required if applicable)
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Experience with health education, patient care management, and growth and development knowledge
Additional Information
- Assist in preparing patients for cath lab procedures including scrubbing and monitoring/recording hemodynamic pressures
- Utilize the invasive cardiology process to prepare the procedure room and patient prior to procedures
- Address health educational needs for patients, families, and other healthcare providers
- Manage patient care assignments and related organizational tasks tied to unit operations
- Apply knowledge of growth and development principles during patient interactions
- Demonstrate professional development and clinical competency in daily practice
