Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Trauma Level I facility requiring 2+ years of IR experience and ARRT (R) certification.

Details

• Interventional Radiology department in a Trauma Level I hospital setting
• Performs special procedures including adrenal angiography, angioplasty, embolization, carotid angiography, stent placement, central venous access/port placement, dialysis graft interventions, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, and upper/lower extremity angiography
• Uses PACS system and Siemens equipment
• EPIC charting system preferred
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• On-call required for nights and weekends
• Regular floating may be required between departments, units, and facilities as needed
• Both Kansas and Missouri licenses or a compact license required at time of consideration due to floating requirements

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Interventional Radiology experience required, with no employment gaps greater than 90 days in the past year
• BLS and ARRT (R) certification required; ARRT (VI) preferred
• Trauma Level I experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Skills required include venous access, equipment setup, prepping access sites, room circulating, isolation precautions/PPE, and sterile technique
• Preferred skills include accessing/managing ports, central venous access, PICC line care, chemoembolization, vertebroplasty, TIPS, and ultrasound
• License required if applicable
• Two professional references required, one from a supervisor or above and the second from a charge-level clinician, both from within the past year
• Social Security number required at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include equipment setup, access site preparation, room circulating, and maintaining equipment, inventory, and supplies
• First-time travelers are accepted for this role
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are considered local and are not accepted
• RTO is limited to a maximum of 7 days and must be finalized at the time of consideration
• Returning BJC or Saint Luke's employees must have at least an 18-month tenure gap with a 3-month break in service, and permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Travel partners are not accepted for this position
