Physical Therapist (PT)

This full-time Physical Therapist position focuses on outpatient care, providing patient-centered assessments, interventions, and evaluations according to physical therapy standards and physician orders.

Shift Details

• Monday to Friday 8-hour shifts: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
• 40-hour work week guarantee
• No weekends required
• No on-call responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate Patient Function: Conduct formal and informal testing to assess skeletal, neurological, respiratory, and cardiovascular status of patients.
• Develop Treatment Plans: Create goal-specific treatment regimes based on assessment data and patient tolerance.
• Coordinated Care Plans: Submit written treatment regimes as part of the authorized plan, co-sign verbal orders from physical therapist assistants as needed, and update care plans per changes in patient status.
• Schedule Treatment: Devise specific treatment schedules in terms of frequency and duration, in coordination with patients, families, and clinical support staff.
• Patient Education: Educate patients, families, and caregivers on pathologies or conditions, treatment alternatives, prognosis, and rationale for chosen interventions.

Qualifications

• Relevant Physical Therapy experience is required.
• Outpatient experience is required.
• Acute care experience is highly preferred.

Licensure and Certification

• Must possess an active Michigan Physical Therapist license.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification is required.
