The Certified Medical Assistant plays a vital role as part of a clinical team, supporting nurses and physicians to ensure efficient patient care. This role involves hands-on patient preparation, clinical documentation, and various administrative tasks while adhering to medical and safety protocols.
13 -26 Week Contract with the option to extend or go perm
Standard Hours: 8 am - 5 pm (possible weekends due to Urgent Care Clinic needs)
Clinic Locations - Seattle and the surrounding cities
Clinic setting varies - Primary Care, Family Medicine, Cardiology and other specialties
Back Office and Front Office experience
Pay: Up to $30/hr
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Measure and record vital signs accurately
- Administer injections under supervision
- Document clinical information thoroughly
- Schedule patient appointments efficiently
- Referrals
- Verification of insurance and prior authorizations
- Patient check in and check out
- Educate patients on treatments and health maintenance
- Maintain strict infection control standards
Required Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C)
- Registered Medical Assistant (MA-R) will be accepted at some clinics
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 1+ year experience in medical assisting
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of patient care and medical terminology
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR)
- Strong skills in vital signs measurement
- Understanding of infection control procedures
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Good time management skills
