Job description

The Certified Medical Assistant plays a vital role as part of a clinical team, supporting nurses and physicians to ensure efficient patient care. This role involves hands-on patient preparation, clinical documentation, and various administrative tasks while adhering to medical and safety protocols.

 

13 -26 Week Contract with the option to extend or go perm

Standard Hours: 8 am - 5 pm (possible weekends due to Urgent Care Clinic needs)

Clinic Locations - Seattle and the surrounding cities

Clinic setting varies - Primary Care, Family Medicine, Cardiology and other specialties

Back Office and Front Office experience
Pay: Up to $30/hr

 

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
  • Measure and record vital signs accurately
  • Administer injections under supervision
  • Document clinical information thoroughly
  • Schedule patient appointments efficiently
  • Referrals
  • Verification of insurance and prior authorizations
  • Patient check in and check out
  • Educate patients on treatments and health maintenance
  • Maintain strict infection control standards

 

Required Qualifications

  • Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C)
  • Registered Medical Assistant (MA-R) will be accepted at some clinics
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 1+ year experience in medical assisting
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of patient care and medical terminology
  • Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR)
  • Strong skills in vital signs measurement
  • Understanding of infection control procedures
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities
  • Good time management skills
