Health Ministries Clinic (HMC) is seeking a mission-driven Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team at our Halstead Clinic. This is a full-time opportunity to provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.

What You'll Do
  • Promptly room patients and collect vital signs, including height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and other required clinical information.

  • Accurately document patient information and clinical data in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).

  • Scan and upload patient documents into the EMR while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

  • Answer telephone calls from patients, providers, pharmacies, and healthcare facilities regarding clinical matters and route messages appropriately.

  • Assist providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.

  • Administer medications, immunizations, and other treatments as directed and within the scope of certification.

  • Prepare and stock exam rooms with necessary supplies and equipment.

  • Coordinate referrals, obtain prior authorizations, and send medical records or provider documentation as needed.

  • Maintain medication samples, vaccines, and clinical supply inventory.

  • Provide patient education and support while promoting an exceptional patient experience.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Current Kansas Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential required.

  • One (1) year of ambulatory or outpatient healthcare experience preferred.

  • Current BLS certification preferred.

  • Working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMR).

  • Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-based environment.
