Warehouse to Production Material Handler
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable Material Handler to support daily manufacturing operations by moving raw materials, components, and finished goods from the warehouse to designated production lines. This position plays an important role in keeping production running efficiently by ensuring materials are available when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport raw materials, components, packaging, and supplies from the warehouse to production areas.
- Deliver materials to the correct production line, workstation, or staging area.
- Review material requests and verify part numbers, quantities, and labels before delivery.
- Load, unload, move, and organize materials safely throughout the facility.
- Use carts, pallet jacks, forklifts, or other material-handling equipment as assigned.
- Maintain accurate inventory and material movement records.
- Communicate with warehouse and production personnel regarding material needs and shortages.
- Remove empty containers, packaging, and excess materials from production areas.
- Keep warehouse, staging, and production areas clean and organized.
- Follow all company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and material-handling guidelines.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory checks as needed.
- Perform other warehouse and production support duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- 1+ year of warehouse, material handling, manufacturing, or production experience preferred.
- Ability to lift and move materials throughout the facility.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Basic computer skills for inventory and material tracking.
- Forklift certification or experience is a plus.
- Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic are required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as required.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
- Ability to safely move materials throughout a manufacturing environment.
Work Environment
This position works in a warehouse and manufacturing/production environment and requires frequent movement between the warehouse and production floor. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accurate material deliveries.
