CNC Operator

Local metal fabrication manufacturing facility is seeking an experienced CNC Operator with 3+ years of experience.

The CNC Operator will operate and monitor computer-controlled CNC machines to manufacture precision metal components according to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

The position involves loading and securing materials, setting up and operating machines, inspecting finished parts using precision measuring tools, making basic machine adjustments, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Shift: 1st and 2nd shift available

Pay Range: up to $32 (Based on Experience)

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
• Operate CNC mills, lathes, or other machining equipment
• Load raw materials and tooling
• Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection equipment
• Monitor dimensions and surface quality during production
• Perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting
• Follow strict quality, safety, and production procedures
• Work with engineers, machinists, and other production personnel
• Produce components used in aerospace, defense, industrial, and other specialized applications

Experience

• 3+ years of proven experience operating CNC machinery, such as CNC mills and lathes, in a manufacturing environment is required.
• Experience operating CNC mills, lathes, or similar computer-controlled machinery.
• Familiarity with CAM software (e.g., SOLIDWORKS CAM) and CAD systems for creating or modifying toolpaths.
• Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T principles.
• Knowledge of machining tools, precision measurement instruments, including calipers and micrometers, and quality-control inspection techniques.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining safety, accuracy, and quality standards.
