Direct Support Professional

Duties: *THIS IS A DIRECT SUPPORT ROLE FOR ADULTS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS*

- Provide personal care assistance to residents, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Administer medications according to prescribed instructions and document accurately.
- Monitor and report changes in residents' physical and mental health to the Administrator.
- Follow established protocols for infection control and maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Respect and uphold resident rights, privacy, and confidentiality.
- Implement behavior management strategies as directed by the care plan.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field preferred.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and resident rights.
- Familiarity with medication administration procedures.
- First aid certification is a plus.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to perform basic cooking tasks and meal preparation.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
