MATERIAL COORDINATOR

Position Summary

Responsible for supporting Kitting, Receiving, Shipping, and Shop Floor Control activities while coordinating material flow to support daily manufacturing operations. This position also manages the Cycle Counting program, monitors inventory accuracy, and helps ensure materials are available to meet production schedules and customer demand.

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate the flow of materials and work between manufacturing departments to support production.
• Manage the daily Cycle Counting program and investigate significant inventory variances.
• Monitor material usage and analyze inventory variances.
• Enter and maintain material kit issue data accurately.
• Maintain kitting accuracy and report kitting performance statistics.
• Monitor kit status and follow up on issues to ensure on-time delivery to outside operations and assembly.
• Establish priorities for customer orders and adjust schedules based on demand.
• Train new and existing employees on applicable processes and procedures.
• Support Lean principles and assist with new process and product development.
• Promote a clean, safe, and organized work environment and address unsafe conditions or practices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Self-motivated with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills required; proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
• ERP experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with multiple departments.

Working Conditions

• Ability to perform essential job functions involving extended periods of sitting, standing, walking, and repetitive motion.
• Must wear safety glasses and steel-toe shoes in designated areas.
• Work is performed in a manufacturing environment and requires adherence to all safety and company procedures.
