Job Description
We are currently seeking an Employment Specialist to join our team! If you are interested and feel you meet the requirements, please forward your resume for review.
The Employment Specialist is responsible for the delivery of all services provided by the Supported Employment Program which includes assessment, job development and marketing, job training and follow along support. The Employment Specialist is also responsible for the recording and documentation of all services provided.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs client intakes.
Explains policies and procedures and collects client information.
Markets client's skills and EO's services to potential employers.
Assists clients in participating in their own job development.
Secures jobs for clients that fit their conditions, preferences, and contributions for employment.
Provides on the job training for clients so that the client can reach job stabilization and independence.
Develops on the job support networks utilizing natural supports so that clients can achieve the highest level of independence on their job.
Maintains clients in their employment by providing supports to both the client and the work place staff.
Refers clients to other support services.
Attends required trainings to maintain and improve job their job skills and knowledge of the field of Supported Employment.
Maintains client records for the purposes meeting contractual, accreditation, and funding requirements.
Develops effective relationships with clients and their support team members to facilitate successful service delivery.
Meets time sensitive deadlines as determined by program director.
Works effectively with coworkers as part of the Supported Employment Team.
Shows adherence to and demonstration of EO company and SE division mission and values.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Experience in working with individuals with a disabilities or related field. (Related work and life experience may be substituted for education requirement)
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of 1 year experience in training or teaching adults with disabilities.
Washington State Driver's License (or Oregon License if residing in Oregon)
Auto Insurance with at least $100,000/ $300,000 coverage.
Willingness to work flexible work schedule
Strong desire to work with and place adults with developmental disabilities in a competitive work environment.
COMPENSATION: Base Salary: $22-$26 an hour
Will be paid hourly depending on experience and subject to deductions for taxes and other withholdings as required by law and or authorized by you.
Bonus: Employers Overload Supported Employment offers a bonus program based on outcomes.
Status:
Non-Exempt - As a non-exempt employee, you will receive overtime pay of 1-1/2 times your hourly wage for any hours worked beyond 40 per week.
