Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

A certified medical assistant (CMA) works in doctor offices and clinics to help doctors and nurses. They do both patient care (clinical tasks) and office work (administrative tasks) to keep the clinic running well. [1, 2, 3, 4]

Clinical Duties

• Take vital signs like blood pressure, temperature, and weight.
• Ask patients about their health history and symptoms.
• Get patients ready for exams and help the doctor during tests.
• Give injections or vaccines and draw blood for labs.
• Clean and sterilize medical tools and rooms.
• Assist the physician with procedures

Administrative Duties

• Greet patients and check them in for visits.
• Schedule future appointments.
• Handle phone calls

Training is available.

Bilingual in both English and Spanish is a plus!

Strong interest in aesthetics preferred!
