Matrimonial & Family Law Paralegal

• Support attorneys throughout all phases of matrimonial and family law cases
• Draft and prepare legal documents, including motions, pleadings, affidavits, discovery requests, and correspondence
• Assist with financial disclosure, case documentation, and discovery organization
• Maintain accurate electronic and physical case files
• Track court dates, deadlines, hearings, conferences, and depositions
• Schedule client meetings, court appearances, and related legal appointments
• Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and third-party service providers
• Prepare and file legal documents through New York electronic filing systems
• Assist with trial, hearing, and settlement preparation
• Conduct legal and case-related research as needed
• Maintain case information within the firm's legal case management systems

• 3–5 years of matrimonial and family law paralegal experience required
• Strong understanding of New York family law procedures and litigation processes
• Experience preparing discovery, financial documentation, and court filings
• Familiarity with New York court systems and electronic filing procedures
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills
• Ability to manage multiple matters while meeting critical deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management software
• Experience with legal research platforms such as LexisNexis or Westlaw is a plus
• Paralegal Certificate or degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
