We are a locally owned and growing alarm company serving the Memphis area, and we're looking for a dependable Technician Assistant to join our installation team. You'll work alongside experienced technicians installing and servicing commercial and residential:

• Fire Alarm Systems
• Burglar Alarm Systems
• Access Control Systems
• CCTV / Video Surveillance Systems
• Low Voltage Cabling

This position is ideal for someone with construction, electrical, cable, telecommunications, HVAC, or general labor experience who wants to learn a skilled trade.

What You'll Do

• Assist lead technicians with installing and servicing security and fire alarm systems.
• Pull, route, label, and terminate low-voltage cable (Cat5e, Cat6, fire alarm cable, security cable and related wiring).
• Mount cameras, card readers, motion detectors, keypads, control panels, and other devices.
• Assist with conduit installation and cable support systems.
• Help test and troubleshoot installed equipment.
• Maintain clean and organized job sites.
• Safely operate ladders, power tools, and hand tools.
• Follow company safety procedures and applicable codes.
• Represent the company professionally while interacting with customers.
• Travel to customer locations throughout the Memphis and Mid-South area.

Qualifications

Required

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on ladders
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Dependable attendance and punctuality

Preferred (Not Required)

• Experience in construction, electrical, telecommunications, cable installation, or low-voltage systems
• Familiarity with hand and power tools
• OSHA 10 Certification
• Basic blueprint reading skills
• Experience pulling cable or working in commercial construction
