Contract to Hire: Bookkeeper (10935)

Our client, located in Arlington, seeks a dedicated Bookkeeper to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis. This role requires hands-on transactional accounting expertise, focusing heavily on accounts receivable with some accounts payable, sales tax, and payroll management. Proficiency with SAGE software is essential, while experience with Paychex is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions
• Process sales tax filings and ensure compliance
• Handle payroll processing accurately and timely
• Record financial transactions and maintain data integrity
• Perform financial reconciliations to balance accounts
• Enter data efficiently using accounting software
• Utilize SAGE software for daily bookkeeping tasks

Required Qualifications

• Experience with transactional accounting including heavy AR and some AP
• Proficiency in SAGE accounting software

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Paychex payroll system
