Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with ARRT(CT) certification and 2+ years of CT scanning experience for a night shift assignment.
Details
- Work in a hospital-based CT department
- Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, Friday through Sunday
- 36 hours per week across 3 shifts of 12 hours each
- Responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images using CT imaging equipment
- Administer contrast and position patients and equipment to achieve optimal images
- Collaborate with physicians to evaluate images and determine if additional imaging is needed
Requirements
- ARRT(CT) certification required
- KY or IN state license required (can be obtained after acceptance); license required if applicable
- BLS certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of CT scanning experience required
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology
- Proficiency in patient positioning, imaging technique, and image quality assessment
- Knowledge of radiation safety practices and quality control techniques
Additional Information
- Prepare patients for procedures, educate them, and respond to questions or concerns
- Apply age-appropriate communication and safety approaches based on patient growth and development principles
- Apply radiation safety techniques and devices to minimize exposure to patients and staff
- Oversee and train students providing patient care as part of their clinical training
- Uphold standards of accountability, integrity, and respect for every patient
