WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Complete maintenance work orders promptly and with attention to resident service.
- Execute unit turns and site maintenance projects within company standards.
- Troubleshoot and repair apartment systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, carpentry, drywall and paint.
- Respond to emergency maintenance needs and participate in the community on-call rotation.
- Help maintain curb appeal, common areas, grounds, shops, and safety standards across the community.
- Learn REAC protocols and assist with keeping the community inspection ready.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience in maintenance or related field.
- Working knowledge of apartment maintenance functions, including basic tools, equipment and mobile work order technology.
- Strong knowledge of electrical and/or plumbing systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
NICE TO HAVE
- Certification in HVAC, electrical, carpentry, or plumbing.
- Basic knowledge of applicable laws governing residential housing.
- Prior experience supporting REAC readiness or similar property inspections.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Travel between communities within the region may be required. Work is performed indoors and outside, including resident apartments, common areas, maintenance shops, community grounds and outdoor shared spaces. The role includes on-call responsibilities and requires extensive walking, stooping, bending, balancing, kneeling, squatting and climbing, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
