Shift: 1st Shift | Monday – Friday | 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM
Work Model: Fully Onsite

Role Overview

BEPC is seeking a detail-oriented Operator I to join our client's medical device manufacturing team in Irvine, California. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with experience in medical device assembly, manufacturing operations, cleanroom production, or regulated manufacturing environments.

In this role, you will support the production of high-quality medical devices within a manufacturing cell by performing assembly, repair, and testing operations while maintaining strict quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with small components, following standardized procedures, and maintaining accurate production documentation in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform assembly, repair, and testing operations on pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), leads, and related medical device assemblies.
  • Follow established manufacturing procedures, work instructions, and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate production records, traveler documentation, and quality records to ensure product traceability.
  • Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes and product quality.
  • Communicate production issues, solutions, and process updates effectively with supervisors and team members.
  • Utilize electronic data collection systems and manufacturing software applications.
  • Prioritize work assignments to meet production schedules and operational goals.
  • Handle and maneuver small components and parts with precision.
  • Participate in monitoring and achieving manufacturing performance metrics.
  • Support Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.
  • Follow all safety procedures and properly utilize required safety equipment.
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude when interacting with internal teams and visitors.
  • Work overtime as required to support production demands.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow written procedures and verbal instructions.
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to utilize electronic data collection systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to handle and maneuver small components and parts.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet production deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to make sound decisions and exercise judgment with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Preferred Experience

  • Previous medical device manufacturing or assembly experience.
  • Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Experience maintaining production and quality documentation.
  • Experience using electronic manufacturing systems and data collection tools.

Work Environment

This position is performed in a regulated medical device manufacturing environment and requires strict adherence to cleanroom, safety, and quality standards. Candidates must comply with all gowning, attire, grooming, and contamination-control requirements, including restrictions on jewelry, cosmetics, artificial nails, fragrances, and specific clothing materials. The role requires handling small components, maintaining accurate documentation, and working within established quality systems and regulatory guidelines. Overtime may be required based on production needs.
