Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the direction of doctors and registered nurses (RNs).
• Administer oral medications, injections, and perform IV/venipuncture therapies (if certified).
• Monitor vital signs, change dressings, and manage basic wound care.
• Record accurate patient notes in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Educate patients and families on basic post-treatment or discharge care.
• Float between clinical units or departments as facility needs require.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Active state LVN/LPN license or multi-state Compact license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Specialized certifications like IV or blood draw/venipuncture certification (varies by assignment).
• Minimum of 1 to 3 years of recent clinical experience in a hospital, clinic, or long-term care setting.
• Ability to self-orient quickly and start work with minimal supervision.
