Intake Coordinator: Workers Comp (Phone use and data entry)

3-hab is currently seeking to fill an open position for Intake Coordinator. The well-qualified candidate should meet the following qualifications:

Primary Responsibilities:

• Determine the correct MCO for each claim and if a claim has yet been filed.
• Creating record/starting triage for each claim which includes, but is not limited to: Mailing injured worker letter and signature request letter (where applicable). Notifying employer and TPA (where applicable) of new claim by fax or email.
• Notifying Care Coordinator immediately upon receipt of a lost time claim and/or when an injured worker has not returned to work.
• Notifying Supervisor and Catastrophic Coordinators of any possible Catastrophic claims and or claim in hospital.
• Making sufficient attempts to obtain medical documentation and/or verbal verification of information either from provider(s) and/or injured worker in compliance with BWC requirements of mandatory data elements and timelines as stated in Chapter Two of the MCO Policy Guide.
• Data entry of all above information in computer system with detailed notes of all actions and conversations for each claim.

Required Skills:

• This position requires multi-tasking and organizational skills
• Must be able to type at a minimum of 30 words per minute
• Must be able to succeed in a fast paced environment
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Great attention to detail
• Competent in using Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office programs

Required Education:

• Must have earned a high school diploma or equivalent
