Associate Attorney

Position Overview
A sophisticated litigation practice is seeking an attorney with excellent writing skills and strong academic credentials to join its fast-paced, collaborative national practice. The attorney will handle complex, high-stakes insurance coverage matters for major insurance carriers in state and federal courts nationwide, including trial and appellate proceedings.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle sophisticated insurance coverage litigation from case development through trial and appeal.

• Research and analyze complex legal and coverage issues.

• Draft high-quality pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and other litigation documents.

• Work on matters involving state and federal courts, including appellate proceedings.

• Collaborate with attorneys and clients on complex, high-value cases.

• Contribute to case strategy, legal research, and effective client outcomes.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.

• Active license to practice law and eligibility to practice in relevant jurisdictions.

• Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex matters in a fast-paced environment.

• Minimum 2 years of litigation experience; 5-20 years preferred.

• Experience with insurance coverage litigation is highly desirable.

• Ability and willingness to work primarily in person to support collaboration, mentoring, communication, and teamwork.
