All documentation, including schematic, fab, and assembly drawings, will be generated using the ECAD tool suite.

Responsibilities:

  • With inputs from engineering, create schematic drawings and PWB layouts and design verification checks
  • Work with engineers for parts placements, and routing that satisfy design requirements and adhere to IPC and company standards
  • Work with the appropriate ECAD software physical and electrical design constraints for high voltage and current requirements
  • Create layer stack-ups that meet all design requirements and interface with PWB vendors as required
  • Interface with production personnel to ensure designs are highly manufacturable and meet company reliability requirements
  • Create full documentation packages and manage release process into companywide Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system
  • Manage and maintain the company’s component library through verification of existing components for accuracy and compliance with IPC/MIL standards
  • Create logic symbols and physical footprints of new electrical components and coordinate reviews with the engineering and manufacturing teams

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Experience with components data and library management and associated database management systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in a related field
  • 5+ years of related technical experience
  • Experience developing and designing for manufacturing of PWBs deployed in space environments
  • Knowledge of PCB failure modes and reliability in extreme environments
  • Experience developing IPC Class 2 and 3 PWBs
  • Experience using Cadence Concept HDL schematic and Allegro Layout design software
  • Good communication skills with the ability to interface and clearly communicate with many different technical disciplines
