Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students’ growth and success in multiple school settings near El Paso, IL. This dynamic role offers variety and meaningful impact, providing occupational therapy services across two locations with distinctly engaging populations.
You’ll spend one day per week in Peoria, focusing on students in an Emotional Disabilities (ED) program, and an additional three or more days weekly in Bloomington, serving a diverse blend of students with needs ranging from Emotional Disabilities and Autism to Life Skills.
To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:
- Active licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Previous experience working with school-age children
- Familiarity with Emotional Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and Life Skills support
- Flexibility and organizational skills to manage travel and varied caseloads between locations
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work closely with educators, administrators, and families
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans supporting IEP goals
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting assessments and developing goal-oriented therapy plans tailored to each student’s needs
- Delivering direct therapy services within both structured and dynamic classroom settings
- Collaborating with teachers, school staff, and families to optimize each student’s success
- Maintaining clear, thorough documentation in compliance with school and legal standards
- Providing consultation and resources to support inclusive educational participation
- Attending IEP meetings and contributing to a positive school environment
