Pharmacist in Charge in Gilbert, AZ

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A well-established, growing non-sterile compounding mail-order pharmacy is seeking a hands-on Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) for a direct hire position. This role requires a pharmacist ready to actively engage in dispensing, patient counseling, pharmacy operations, and regulatory compliance to support the pharmacy’s expansion, particularly on the West Coast.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense prescriptions accurately and provide thorough patient counseling.
• Supervise pharmacy staff and ensure standard operating procedures (SOP), USP standards, and FDA 503A compliance are maintained.
• Manage inventory, including controlled substances, and maintain all required documentation.
• Address patient inquiries with professionalism and high customer service standards.
• Oversee regulatory compliance across states serviced by the pharmacy.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Pharmacist licensed in Arizona or New Jersey (depending on location).
• 3–5 years of total pharmacy experience.
• Strong preference for candidates with mail-order, outpatient, community, or compounding pharmacy backgrounds.
• Comfortable functioning in a working PIC role.
• Thorough knowledge of state and federal regulations governing 503A pharmacies.
• Previous PIC or pharmacy management experience preferred.
• Experience with PioneerRx is a plus, though training is offered.
• West Coast licensure (CA, NM, TX, NV, UT, OR, WA, CO) is highly preferred to support national expansion.

Candidates should be local to these areas, as relocation assistance has not been arranged.

Schedule:

• Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Some weekend coverage may be required as the pharmacy grows.

This is a direct hire opportunity with competitive compensation ranging from approximately $68–$75 per hour depending on experience. Interviews will begin the week of 8/24, conducted virtually with the HR Manager and leadership.
