Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Valid state special education teaching certification or licensure, appropriate for middle and/or primary education.
- Previous experience working in MD (Multiple Disabilities), autism (including non-verbal and physical impairments), and ED (Emotional Disabilities) classrooms highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to implement individualized education plans and behavioral intervention plans (BIPs).
- Experience managing caseloads of 9-15 students.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Provide instruction and support in assigned MD and ED classrooms.
- Develop and implement effective IEPs and appropriate interventions.
- Facilitate social-emotional learning and crisis intervention when needed.
- Foster an inclusive, nurturing classroom environment.
- Work closely with building staff (one primary site for most duties).
