Physical Therapist - School Setting in Portales, NM

Key Qualifications:

• Credentialed as a Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant (state licensure required)
• Previous experience in educational or pediatric settings preferred
• Familiarity with school-based therapy practices and case management
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Flexibility and adaptability for itinerant travel between sites

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct therapy services to K-12 students, focusing on improving mobility, gross motor skills, and functional independence
• Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine student needs and develop individualized treatment plans (PTs)
• Manage caseload through thorough documentation, progress tracking, and collaboration with educational teams (PTs)
• Deliver direct therapy as assigned, following prescribed treatment plans (PTAs)
• Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student goal development as needed
