This is a full-time maternity leave coverage position beginning September 16, 2026, and lasting approximately 12 weeks. Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience working with students diagnosed with Multiple Disabilities (MD), preferably in early elementary grades
- Proficiency in adapting or modifying curriculum and designing individual accommodations
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to create and maintain a highly structured, safe environment
- Commitment to collaboration with fellow educators, support staff, and families to optimize outcomes
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage a classroom for kindergarten through second-grade students with Multiple Disabilities
- Implement and adapt lesson plans tailored to each student’s needs and learning abilities
- Maintain clear documentation on student progress and IEP goals
- Provide a nurturing, predictable environment that prioritizes student safety and consistency
