Pharmacy Technician in Kalamazoo, MI

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Pharmacy Technicians play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of retail pharmacy environments, providing essential support to pharmacists and delivering outstanding customer service. This opportunity offers a contract-to-hire position based in Kalamazoo, MI, working within a dynamic retail pharmacy setting.

Schedule and Hours:

• Monday through Friday
• 8.5-hour shifts
• Rotating start times at 7:30 a.m., 8:00 a.m., 9:30 a.m., and 11:30 a.m.
• Pharmacy closes at 6:00 p.m. on Fridays
• No weekend shifts initially; weekend work will be introduced later

Responsibilities:

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently
• Provide customer service with professionalism and care
• Manage prescription records and inventory utilizing Pioneer RX computer system
• Adhere to all regulations and standards governing retail pharmacy practice
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and customers as needed for optimal patient outcomes

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current Michigan pharmacy technician license
• Proven experience working as a pharmacy technician in a retail environment
• Familiarity with Pioneer RX computer system is highly preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
