Job Description
At INSight Partners, the Loss Control Specialist partnerswith clients, Risk Advisors, Client Managers, and carrier partners to identifyexposures, reduce risk, and strengthen workplace safety and overall riskmanagement practices. This role provides consultative loss control servicesthat help clients improve safety, reduce claims, and support long-term businesssuccess.
The Loss Control Specialist serves as a trusted resource byconducting risk assessments, developing practical recommendations, andproviding education on safety, compliance, and loss prevention. This role playsa key part in enhancing client relationships, improving client retention,supporting business development efforts, and reinforcing INSight Partners'commitment to exceptional client service.
Job Responsibilities
Risk Assessment Specialist: Conduct on-site and virtual risk assessments to identify operational hazards, safety concerns, and opportunities to improve risk management practices.
Loss Control Consultant: Develop practical recommendations that help clients reduce losses, improve workplace safety, and strengthen operational resilience.
Client Partner:Build trusted relationships by providing ongoing guidance, education, and support related to safety,** **risk management, and loss prevention.
Risk Advisor Resource: Collaborate with Risk Advisors during prospecting, renewals, and client reviews by providing technical loss control and risk management expertise.
Carrier Liaison: Partner with insurance carrier loss control representatives to coordinate inspections, address recommendations, and strengthen carrier relationships.
Safety & Education Leader: Develop and deliver client training programs, educational resources, and safety presentations that promote risk awareness and best practices.
Documentation Specialist: Prepare comprehensive reports, recommendations, and follow-up documentation while maintaining accurate client records.
Safety & Compliance Resource: Assist clients in understanding applicable safety regulations, industry standards, and risk management resources.
Relationship Builder: Represent INSight Partners through client visits, networking opportunities, and communityengagement.
Flexible Contributor: Support strategic initiatives, special projects, and organizational priorities as assigned.
Skills & Strengths
Strong understanding of commercial insurance, safety, and risk management principles
Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to evaluate operational risks and develop practical recommendations
Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time-management skills
Comfortable presenting to clients, conducting on-site evaluations, and facilitating training
Collaborative and consultative approach to client service
Commitment to professionalism, integrity, and continuous learning
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and agency management systems (Applied EPIC preferred)
Position Requirements
Active Property & Casualty Insurance License required or ability to obtain within an established timeframe
Commercial insurance, safety, risk management, or related consulting experience preferred
Knowledge of OSHA regulations, workplace safety programs, or industry-specific risk management practices preferred
Ability to travel regularly to client locations throughout the assigned territory
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
