Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification (state-appropriate)
  • Previous experience in special education classroom settings preferred
  • Ability to tailor instruction to students with diverse learning needs
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
  • Experience working in Resource, Transition, or SSN rooms a plus
  • Flexible to work across various grade levels (elementary, middle, and high school)
  • Committed to inclusive, student-centered teaching practices

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities
  • Adapt instructional methods to ensure accessibility and progress for all learners
  • Collaborate with general education staff and related service providers
  • Foster a supportive, engaging classroom environment
  • Track and assess student progress, maintaining accurate documentation
  • Communicate consistently with families regarding student growth and needs
  • Participate in district-wide SPED meetings and professional development as required
