Job Description
Job Description:
This role is ideal for a hands-on developer who can build AI agents, data-driven applications, integrations, dashboards, and workflow automations while using AI to accelerate their own development, documentation, testing, and analysis.
The successful candidate will be comfortable balancing planned project work with impromptu business requests, switching across multiple tasks, and producing high-quality output quickly.
The candidate will work with business partners and end users as needed to clarify requirements, validate solution behavior, support testing, and refine user experience.
This role requires technical depth, practical creativity, strong ownership, and a bias toward rapid delivery.
AI Agent Development & Copilot Studio Delivery
Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain AI agents using Microsoft Copilot Studio and related Microsoft AI capabilities.
Create agents that support real business processes, answer questions from approved knowledge sources, guide users through tasks, automate repeatable work, and improve decision-making.
Develop agent instructions, topics, actions, prompts, connectors, knowledge grounding, testing plans, and feedback loops to improve accuracy and user value.
Integrate agents with Microsoft 365 content, SharePoint resources, Power Platform flows, APIs, Databricks outputs, databases, and other approved enterprise data sources.
Evaluate new Copilot and AI capabilities, rapidly prototype practical use cases, and recommend approaches that improve speed, usability, and business outcomes.
Design and execute AI evaluation, validation, and testing processes to ensure accurate, reliable, and trustworthy outputs.
Databricks, Data Engineering & Database Development
Develop and maintain data pipelines, notebooks, transformations, and analytical workflows using Databricks or similar modern data platforms.
Write efficient SQL and work with relational databases, structured data, semi-structured data, and enterprise reporting datasets.
Design data models, staging logic, validation routines, and integration patterns that support AI agents, dashboards, automation, and reporting use cases.
Troubleshoot data quality, lineage, performance, access, and integration issues across the solution lifecycle.
Work with APIs, files, tables, views, and business data sources to make data reliable, usable, and accessible for downstream solutions.
Full Stack Solution Development
Develop front-end, back-end, database, and integration components required to deliver practical business solutions.
Create lightweight web applications, dashboards, internal utilities, reporting tools, automation scripts, and reusable components.
Apply sound development practices including source control, documentation, testing, maintainability, error handling, and iterative improvement.
Build solutions that balance speed of delivery with reliability, usability, security, and long-term supportability.
Collaborate with team members to share reusable patterns, templates, prompts, code snippets, and lessons learned.
Experience developing and deploying solutions using Azure services including App Service, Functions, API Management, SQL Database, Blob Storage, and Microsoft Entra ID.
Rapid Delivery, Multitasking & AI-Augmented Work
Manage multiple concurrent tasks and initiatives while adapting to changing priorities, emerging opportunities, and impromptu requests.
Use AI tools, especially Copilot, to accelerate development, research, documentation, testing, data analysis, summarization, and solution design.
Rapidly produce prototypes, proof-of-concepts, demos, and production-ready deliverables that demonstrate tangible business value.
Operate effectively in an autonomous environment where the team is expected to identify opportunities, solve problems, and deliver outcomes with minimal overhead.
Maintain a practical, value-first mindset focused on solving real business problems rather than experimenting with technology for its own sake.
Business Partner & End User Collaboration
Interact with business partners as needed to clarify requirements, confirm assumptions, review prototypes, and validate solution outcomes.
Work directly with end users when appropriate to understand pain points, observe workflows, gather feedback, support testing, and improve usability.
Explain technical concepts in business-friendly language and help users understand how AI-enabled solutions can support their work.
Participate in demonstrations, user acceptance testing, pilots, and post-release feedback sessions.
Support adoption by creating clear documentation, quick-start guidance, examples, and handoff materials where needed.
Qualifications
3+ years of hands-on software development, full stack development, data engineering, automation development, or related technical delivery experience.
Experience building solutions using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Platform, chatbot platforms, AI agent frameworks, or similar low-code/no-code and pro-code automation tools.
Azure platform services
Experience with Databricks, SQL, data pipelines, database development, data modeling, ETL/ELT, or modern analytics platforms.
Working knowledge of APIs, integrations, application architecture, authentication concepts, and data-driven solution design.
Ability to develop front-end, back-end, database, and integration components as needed to deliver end-to-end business solutions.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, respond to ad hoc requests, and deliver quality output quickly in a fast-moving environment.
Comfort using AI tools to improve personal productivity, accelerate development, and produce polished deliverables.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
Ability to engage directly with business partners and end users for clarification, testing, feedback, and solution refinement.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience developing AI agents, copilots, chatbots, conversational workflows, or AI-assisted business applications.
Experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Power Automate, Power Apps, SharePoint, Teams, Azure, Power BI, or Microsoft Fabric.
Experience with Databricks notebooks, jobs, workflows, Delta tables, SQL warehouses, or related lakehouse concepts.
Experience with Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML/CSS, SQL, REST APIs, JSON, and scripting for automation or data processing.
Familiarity with prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, knowledge grounding, agent orchestration, evaluation, and responsible AI practices.
Experience supporting reporting automation, workflow optimization, business transformation, operational analytics, or internal productivity tools.
Experience working in Agile, iterative, rapid prototyping, or innovation-focused delivery environments.
Characteristics of a Successful Candidate
Enjoys building practical AI-enabled solutions that solve real business problems.
Is comfortable using AI as a daily work accelerator, not just as a product feature.
Can move quickly from idea to prototype to usable solution.
Thrives on a small, autonomous team where ownership, initiative, and adaptability are essential.
Can balance multiple workstreams and respond constructively to impromptu requests.
Communicates clearly with technical peers, business partners, and end users.
Is curious, creative, pragmatic, and comfortable learning new tools while delivering value.
