We are hiring an Operations Director – Mechanical Construction to support the continued growth of our New Construction division in Texas. This role is responsible for leading teams delivering large, complex projects while setting and executing strategies, goals, and performance objectives.Key responsibilities include:Oversee all project activities, functions, and resource allocationAssign and manage project responsibilities across team membersServe as the primary client point of contact during project executionHold full financial accountability, including accurate and timely reportingEnsure adherence to company policies, procedures, and compliance standardsProvide stakeholders with clear, timely updates to support decision-makingCollaborate across departments including project management, sales, estimating, accounting, and purchasingManage billing processes, ensuring timely client payments and subcontractor payoutsOversee preconstruction budgets, estimates, and change ordersLead monthly project financial reviews (ETC) and maintain change logsEnsure projects are completed on schedule and within scopeRecruit, develop, and manage high-performing teamsBuild strong relationships with field leadership and trade foremenSupport project planning and coordination as designs evolveManage a portion of annual sales in alignment with departmental goalsAdvise clients on financial, contractual, and technical project mattersPartner with business leaders and clients across a large portfolioTake full ownership of assigned projects and drive successful outcomesIntegrate and align multiple business units for cohesive project deliveryQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience10–15 years of construction project management experience5+ years managing data center projectsStrong expertise in mechanical and/or electrical systemsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio)Experience with scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, or SureTrakFamiliarity with construction financial systems and softwareSolid understanding of building codes, equipment selection, and system layout best practicesExperience with preconstruction and basic estimatingKnowledge of low voltage systems (HVAC controls, fire alarm, security) preferredRCDD or CPM certifications preferredWorking knowledge of SharePoint is a plusThis role requires a strategic leader with strong technical depth, financial acumen, and the ability to manage complex construction projects while developing high-performing teams and maintaining strong client relationships.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $140000.00 - $230000.00/yr.
