Step into an engaging contract position as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) supporting students across a district-wide K-12 caseload for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity in the Lakebay, WA area, requiring travel between multiple buildings to ensure comprehensive support for students’ needs. Make a significant impact by collaborating with educators and special education teams to help students thrive academically and developmentally.

Key Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Active Washington (WA) COTA license and NBCOT certification
  • School-based and/or special education experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to travel between multiple school buildings within the district
  • Strong organization, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to upholding ethical standards and providing quality care in an educational setting

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy interventions as outlined in students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with Occupational Therapists and other educational staff to create supportive, goal-driven environments
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with district and legal requirements
  • Participate in meetings with families, teachers, and related support personnel to ensure effective service delivery
  • Adapt interventions to fit varying developmental levels across K-12 populations
