Chaplain - Delta office
20hrs/week

SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Chaplains provide spiritual support to patients and their families, including prayer, life review, life resolution and connect them to spiritual care resources in the community. The chaplains are responsible for developing relationships with community clergy and for connecting patients and families back to their churches and pastors and assist patients and/or families with funeral planning, conducting funerals and/or memorial services.
Chaplains assess a patient’s spiritual world view assisting the patient in naming their spiritual distress, recognizing their spiritual resources, and utilizing those resources for renewed meaning, purpose, and value in the complexities of illness and loss.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Colorado driver’s license, adequate automobile insurance, and unlimited access to reliable transportation maintained throughout employment.
- Able to work in a variety of environments.
- One year of related chaplain/pastoral experience.
- Currently have, or complete within 3 years of their date of hire 2 units of CPE training.
COMPETENCIES & REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to set priorities and follow through.
- Able to participate in the on-call, holiday, weekend, and after-hours programs.
- Communicates effectively, both written and verbal
- Current CPR certification is maintained throughout employment.
- Adequate computer skills preferably with Microsoft office products.
- Ability to establish a therapeutic relationship with a variety of people and personalities.
Pay and Benefits:
- $26.21-$29.00/hour
- Premium pay for Masters Degree in Divinity or Religious Studies and bilingual fluency
- Mileage reimbursement for travel during patient visits
- Cell phone and other technology provided such as laptop/tablet for documentation.
