Description
American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of experience treating orthopedic and occasional neurological conditions on a day shift schedule (TX PT license required if applicable).
Details
- Outpatient setting treating chronic, acute, and post-op orthopedic conditions with occasional neurological cases
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Uses Epic for charting
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience required
- BLS certification required
- TX PT license required if applicable
- Hand Therapy and Manual Therapy skills preferred
- PTA certification preferred
- Experience with orthopedic conditions including joint replacements, sprains, and degenerative conditions
- Experience with modalities such as E-stim, ultrasound, cryotherapy, and traction
- Skilled in gait training, therapeutic exercise, and patient assessment
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include evaluation, treatment planning, and documentation of assessments, goals, and discharge plans
- Utilizes adaptive and assistive devices, gait training, and manual therapy techniques as part of patient care
- Provides patient and family education on home exercise programs and safety
- First-time travelers accepted for this role
- Previous facility staff must wait one year before returning as a traveler
- All requested time off must be submitted and approved at time of consideration
- Candidates residing within certain nearby counties are not accepted for this position
