Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• Travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• Trauma Level 1 experience is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a New York license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - Rochester Regional Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - Rochester Regional Health System.

Additional Details:

Lab Completion: All health-related requirements and lab work must be completed within 5 calendar days of signing. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Required Skills/Experience: Teaching hospital experience is required. Community hospital experience is required. Cardiac monitoring and emergency response: interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, use of rapid response/code teams. IV therapy/phlebotomy: peripheral line care/management. Respiratory: nasal cannula, oxygen face masks, portable oxygen tank, non-invasive airway management. Professional topics and skills: isolation precautions.

Unit Details: Adult and geriatric patient population. Patient population includes CVA, TIA, SDH, SAH, seizure, brain injury, and dementia. Acute Stroke Unit specializes in the care of acute stroke patients, other neurological disorders, and acute medical patients. Adjustable acuity delivery of care model focused on primary prevention and acute stroke care.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend.

Floating Requirements: Floating required within skillset.

Maximum consecutive days off: 10

2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 2 years

Proof of identification required

Certifications:

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
