Part-Time Legal Assistant

Location: Janesville, WI
Schedule: Part-Time, 20 Hours per Week (Tuesday-Thursday)
Pay: $22.00-$28.00/hour DOE

Position Type: In-Person Only

A professional legal office in Janesville is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to provide administrative and clerical support. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and prior experience working in a legal office environment.

Responsibilities:

Provide clerical and administrative support to attorneys and legal staff
Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents and correspondence
Maintain and organize client files and records
Schedule appointments, meetings, and deadlines
Answer and direct phone calls professionally
Handle incoming and outgoing mail, email, and document filing
Maintain confidentiality of client and case information
Perform additional administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Previous legal office experience preferred
Strong clerical and organizational skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
High level of professionalism and attention to detail
