Lathe Operator
Express Employment Professionals is partnered with a growing manufacturing company in Wyoming, IL seeking a Lathe Operator to join their team.
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday
Hours: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Lathe Operator to operate CNC and/or manual lathes in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have machining experience, a strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to producing high-quality parts safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC and/or manual lathes according to job specifications
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders
  • Load raw materials and monitor machine operations
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools
  • Make routine machine adjustments to maintain quality standards
  • Perform basic maintenance and keep equipment clean
  • Maintain production records and documentation as required
  • Follow all safety and quality procedures
Qualifications
  • Previous lathe operation or machining experience preferred
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
  • Experience with calipers, micrometers, gauges, and measuring equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
