Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Customs Entry Writer to support import operations and customs brokerage activities. The ideal candidate will have a basic freight forwarding background, knowledge of U.S. customs compliance and regulations, and strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Perform data entry for customs entries accurately and efficiently.
- File ISF (Importer Security Filing) for all ocean shipments.
- Assist with product classifications for customs brokerage shipments.
- Assist with In-Bond entries and bonded shipments.
- Provide support to the Import Department with excess shipments.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records related to import shipments.
- Follow applicable U.S. customs regulations and company procedures.
- Communicate with internal departments and customers regarding shipment information as needed.
Qualifications
- Basic freight forwarding or logistics experience preferred.
- Previous customs brokerage or import experience is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of U.S. customs compliance and regulations.
- Experience with ocean import shipments preferred.
- Strong data entry and computer skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize multiple shipments and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
