Job Description
Purpose-Driven Field Work

Step into a role where meticulous instrumentation work meets precision EDM manufacturing. This 12+ month contract starts with focused training and leads to impactful assignments at nuclear facilities.

Your Launchpad
  • July 2026 training: Westinghouse Waltz Mill, Madison, PA
  • After training: Travel to various nuclear sites to execute planned work
Imagine This

You arrive on site with a clear plan: configure a ZAP EDM sinker for a critical precision-manufactured component, validate sensor calibrations, and verify PLC I/O. You consult schematics, run test procedures with your oscilloscope and DMM, document every step in the log, and align with engineering and production to keep operations compliant and safe.

Responsibilities
  • Install, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair instrumentation, control circuits, PLCs, sensors, and automated process control systems
  • Program, set up, and operate ZAP EDM sinker equipment to support precision manufacturing
  • Coordinate with engineering and production teams to meet operational and quality standards
  • Record maintenance actions; maintain complete equipment documentation
  • Conduct instrumentation testing using digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and customer/supplier equipment or simulators
  • Interpret drawings and execute defined test procedures
  • Use electronic and electrical test equipment safely and effectively
  • Read and follow drawings, blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, and engineering instructions to assemble/test electronics using core electronic theory
  • Adhere to all applicable quality, health, and safety processes
  • Perform field cable installation work
Qualifications
  • Required: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience; strong mechanical aptitude; comfort with precision equipment
  • Preferred: 2+ years related experience
  • Valued: Military electronics background (Electronics Technicians, Avionics Specialists or similar)
  • Plus: Familiarity with ZAP EDM or other sinker/wire EDM systems
Why This Role

Cross-train across EDM operations and I&C. Apply disciplined procedures and a safety-first mindset while working with advanced tools and collaborating across teams. If you enjoy variety, travel, and rigorous technical work, this is a strong next step.
