Job Description
Golden Rain Foundation (GRF) is seeking part-time, unarmed Security Officers to help maintain a safe and secure environment within the Leisure World Seal Beach community.
The Security Officer plays a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees and visitors within the community. This position involves monitoring access points, conducting regular patrols, and responding promptly to any security incidents or emergencies. The Security Officer ensures compliance with established security protocols and collaborates with law enforcement or emergency personnel when necessary. By utilizing technology and effective communication, the officer helps prevent unauthorized access, theft, and vandalism. Ultimately, this role contributes to creating a secure atmosphere that supports the smooth operation of the organization and peace of mind for all stakeholders.
Golden Rain Foundation:
Leisure World Seal Beach is the nation's first major planned retirement community. The community is spread over 542 park-like acres which offers resort style living with all the amenities of small-town living. The Golden Rain Foundation has been serving the needs of this community since its inception.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have a minimum of a high school diploma, a valid BSIS Guard Card or ability to obtain within six months of hire, and an unrestricted California Driver’s License. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to interact positively with the community, staff and visitors. A successful candidate must also pass a pre-employment physical, criminal background and drug screening.
Responsibilities:
The Security Officer's duties will include:
- Establishing entry control into the private community
- Directing visitors and non-visitors to assigned areas
- Completing incident reports as necessary
- Dispatching when needed
- Providing customer service
- Patrol duties
Work Schedule and Compensation:
This is a part-time, non-exempt (hourly) position requiring a total of 24 working hours per week. The schedule is flexible and may include nights, weekends, and holidays. Overtime hours may be necessary at times. The hourly pay range for this position is $18.66 to $24.15 per hour.
