Summary:
Vighter LLC is recruiting Computed Tomography (CT) Technologists to provide patient care support at the Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center at Fort Hood, TX. The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist will perform a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures and provide support for other imaging technologists as needed. The CT Tech assists in the facilitation of smooth and efficient patient flow. The CT Technologist will demonstrate flexibility by working other shifts as needed or required.
The CT Technologist must be able to troubleshoot basic maintenance, participate in QA, and resolve issues related to image processing and the image archiving system. Expectation to participate in ongoing education, safety, and technical advances within their scope of licensure. The standard of care shall be of a quality, meeting or exceeding all recognized national standards.

Principle Accountabilities:
- Responsible for providing all regularly performed CT Radiology procedures.
- Operates CT scanners and selecting appropriate imaging protocols in order to obtain high-quality diagnostic images and repeating scans.
- Reviewing orders and patient history for contraindications.
- Explains procedures, prepares and positions patients for CT examinations
- Prepares contrast material for fluoroscopic and special procedures under the direction of the Radiologist for the purpose of performing imaging examinations.
- Administers contrast media when required by physician order and follow all safety procedures.
- Monitoring patients during and after contrast administration, recognizes and responds to contrast reactions or patient emergencies.
- Following radiation-safety and ALARA principles.
- Critiques images for quality and notify the Radiologist and/or CT Supervisor of significant exams requiring immediate attention while the patient is undergoing examination.
- Ensures all documentation required for the completion of the exam is complete in data entry systems.
- Use judgment and initiative, relying on established protocols and past practice when a difficult decision must be made.
- Meets expectations and competencies required of the skillset.
- Must adhere to 2026 National Patient Safety Goals (NPSG) standards /guidelines.
- Maintain consistency with Administrative and Departmental policies with appropriate behavior, dress, attitude, attendance, confidentiality, professionalism and reliability.
- Promotes staff growth, development, and employee engagement by collaborating with management, coworkers, and physicians to create an optimal work environment.
- Promotes exceptional physician satisfaction by providing meaningful assistance to radiologists and referring physicians.
- Performs all duties in a manner that protects the confidentiality of patients and does not solicit or disclose any confidential information unless it is necessary in the performance of assigned job duties.
- Appropriately adapt assigned patient assessment, treatment, and/or care methods to accommodate the unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, age-specific and other developmental needs of each patient served.
- Ensures compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards of care as deemed appropriate by State and Federal agencies, the hospital, and other regulatory entities.
- Ability to follow procedures and escalate problems or issues to the Chief or Designee if needed..
- Troubleshoots and reports any equipment malfunctions to the Chief or Designee if needed, providing appropriate follow-up.
- Must be continuously alert to the patient’s condition and other disorders. Adverse reactions of the patient require immediate attention so that harm does not come to the patient or equipment.

- An apolitical, patient-centered focus that drives to enhanced care and patient satisfaction.
- Knowledge of regulations (HIPAA/Privacy Act) regarding the confidentiality of patient medical records and information as well as Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
- Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Must have exceptional customer service skills.
- Employees shall be technically proficient in the skills necessary to fulfill the job requirements, including ability to speak, understand, read and write English fluently.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment with limited supervision
- Excellent organizational, scheduling and prioritization skills.
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum two (2) years of experience in specialty as a CT Tech.
- Certification: CT Certification is required.
- Must have and maintain certification in Basic Life Support or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a willingness to adapt and innovate as needed.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Duty Hours / On-call Requirements:
- The expected duty hours for this position are 8 hours per day and 5 days per week. However, this key position supports 24/7/365 operations which may require work to be conducted in the day, at night, on weekends, and during holidays.

- As required to satisfy the contractual obligations. Commuting is non-compensatory. All official travel is government funded.
